These singer bases were sitting at the family farm so we thought they would make study and durable bases for an outdoor table. We bought some cedar boards and screwed them together with 2 x 6s. We finished the bases by sanding with steel wool and covering with black outdoor spray paint. We then attached the top to the bases. We sanded and varnished the tops. We ended up sawing off the wheels of the bases to lower the total height of the table to accommodate our outdoor chairs.
