We had an old Maytag washer with ringer and thought it would work good as a cooler. My husband removed the ringer portion (sat on top) and took out the motor. We still have to set up the drain to let out the melted ice. For now we use a Styrofoam container to put the ice in, but when it is complete we will put it directly in the box.
